Today, we’ll talk about how to handle orders that customers place. There are two options for handling the order: FBA (fulfilment by Amazon) or FBM (Fulfillment by Merchant).
FBA: FBA provides order management services to vendors, in which Amazon picks, packs, and ships merchandise on the vendor’s behalf. There is an additional price for it.
FBM: When a seller receives an order, he is required to handle all order-related tasks independently. For example, if a seller needs help storing his goods, a third party warehouse or his own warehouse is both options.
Today, we’ll concentrate on a strategy in which the seller completes tasks primarily on their own. So let’s get going.
On Amazon, there are three primary order kinds that sellers must manage.
1. FBM order Management
2. Multichannel Shipping
3. Removal Order
FBM Order Management:
With this system, the seller keeps his inventory in his own warehouse and is responsible for shipping any orders placed for specific products. So let’s look at Amazon Seller Central to see when the seller was placed under FBM.
When we receive a seller fulfilment order, it appears like this from the inside. In the area highlighted above titled “We ship that order by ourselves and update tracking confirm shipment.”
We will choose a shipment method, such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and then paste the Tracking ID provided by the carrier service.
- Click “confirm shipment” after that.
- Your FBM order has already been fulfilled and sent.
Multichannel Shipping:
You don’t need to worry if you sell your products on other platforms in addition to Amazon but only have stock in the Amazon warehouse.
Now let’s look at how we can complete an Amazon order if we receive it from a different site, such as Ebay, Etsy, etc.
- Access the Dashboard for Amazon Seller Central
- Select Manage inventory after clicking on Inventory.
- Pick a product.
- Choose “Create fulfilment order” from the dropdown on the right side.
- The subsequent page will appear.
A link to Swiship for order tracking will be sent to the customer if the email is added.
B. Modify the text on the packing slip that is included with the package.
C. Following the completion of the necessary client information, select one of the three shipping speeds (Standard, Expedited, or Priority).
D. Click here to create a bulk order.
E. View a projected breakdown of your costs as well as the approximate ship and delivery dates.
You can enter your customer’s information in this way.
Because Amazon will give you a tracking ID after 24 hours and you must give that tracking ID to the consumer on a different platform where you receive the product, enter an order ID that you can remember.
After that, simply click “Place order” to submit your order. Multichannel shipping is the name given to this type of method.
REMOVAL ORDER:
When we have to remove our merchandise from Amazon, we employ removal orders.Let’s examine the procedure.
