For identical products that are being sold by Amazon or affiliates from other parties, sellers on Amazon can build bulk listings. As more products are added to the Marketplace more quickly, this can save hours of laborious work and result in more successful sales.
The Best Way to List in Bulk:
Amazon uses a simple spreadsheet template structure to make creating bulk listings quick and easy. Any spreadsheet programme will work with this common format, but the seller must have one.
Step 1:
Log in to your Amazon seller account, hover over “Inventory” in the dashboard’s top menu bar, and choose “Add Products by Upload” from the dropdown menu.To add products via upload; we must navigate to the inventory menu and choose that option.
Step 2:
After selecting the option to add a product via upload, a new tab with the interface shown below will appear. You can select the product category from the Product Classifier section in the Step 1 section by clicking on “Download an Inventory File,” which is located on the step 1 page. Then, pick “Custom” under the “Template Type” heading in Step 2 of the procedure.

Step 1: Download an inventory File:
You must download the template file for your item in this section’s appropriate category and then search for the category that best fits your item and where your niche is located. Complete the file’s info item content. View the below-attached screenshots.

After conducting a category search, select Generate Template to obtain the template.Two different kinds of templates are available for download. Download the customised template if you only want certain capabilities, such as FBM listing, and you don’t want any further options.You must download the advanced template if you wish to create an Amazon fulfilment listing.
Step 3: Generate Template
Go to the location where you got the template file and use any spreadsheet programme, such as MS Excel, OpenOffice, or LibreOffice, to open it. You must fill out the Seller SKU and Quantity cells in the Template file with the relevant information for your products. Select “Partial Update” for each product by clicking the “Update Delete” cell under the “Basic” column. Save the template file as an.xls after you are finished altering it.
Step 4: Editing the Template File:
The modified template file must now be uploaded. Return to the Seller Central page where you got the template file, and click the “Check and Upload your Inventory File” button this time. By choosing “Inventory Files for non-Media Categories” as the File Type, you can then browse to and choose the saved Excel file from your computer by clicking the “Choose file” button, and then you may check your file by selecting the “Check my file” button.
Step 5: Monitor Upload Status
You have the choice to actually upload the file to the Amazon system once the file-checking procedure is complete. Choose “Inventory Files for non-Media Categories” as the “File Type,” then click the “Choose File” button to select the same Excel file you chose on Step 5 of this tutorial. Finally, choose the “Excel” option under “Processing Report (Output) Format.” In the end, press the “Upload” button. Typically, the inventory & quantity of the products will be updated after around 15 minutes or more. It takes several hours to process files larger than 5MB and update the associated goods.
